The mission of Technology Strategists is to make things work better through the application of technology to achieve business goals. This is achieved by applying practical experience and creativity to real world problems facilitated by a deep understanding of how things work together. 

History

Greg Latiak is Principal Consultant of Technology Strategists, Inc., a management-consulting firm he established in 1995.  Prior to founding Technology Strategists, his career included management & technologist positions at ScotiaMcLeod, Cancor Research, Amcor Computer, American Home Products and a petrochemicals division of Swift&Co.  His management experience includes manufacturing & distribution operations, purchasing & inventory management, product development, computer operations, support & development groups, facilities and plant engineering.  His first major IT assignment was leading implementation of a manufacturing requirements system and development of associated production disciplines for the coatings plant he was managing in the early 1970’s.  Mr. Latiak has developed commercial application code generators, query languages, report writers and compilers – and lead design of an advanced expert system-based, application development product – later marketed by Computer Associates as KnowlegeBuilder.  His consulting accomplishments includes contingency planning and disaster recovery programs, complex business relocations and system installations, business process & methodology implementations, management development, operational metrics, e-commerce web site and infrastructure implementations. A white paper he wrote for Year2000 planning continues to be on the Disaster Recovery Institute’s  ‘Essential Reading’ list. Professional associations include INCOSE, PMI, CAMC and IIE. He is a graduate of Roosevelt University, Chicago, Il.
