Selected Projects:

Infrastructure design and deployment for major new financial services web site including development, test and production areas, support infrastructure, operational processes, service management components.
Provide project management, development and implementation consulting to a major communications vendor for a distributed Java/EJB web-based e-commerce application.
Develop test strategy and evaluate performance of a significant new distributed trading system for a major Toronto financial institution. Scope included development of test strategy, detailed planning, test execution and analysis including tool development for data generation, performance data collections and detailed analysis.
Project manage a major installation (20+ systems including 3 E10000's) on behalf of Sun Microsystems at a major Toronto financial institution on a compressed schedule. Key role in this project was to maintain coordination between the vendor and client to ensure that site preparation, detailed configuration planning and all implementation activities were completed on schedule.
Project manage development and testing of technology recovery plans for a major mutual funds company. Consult on contingency planning for both business interruptions and year2000 scenarios. Scope of systems included traditional Lans, WAN, desktop-centric client-server applications, distributed systems, intranet and sophisticated voice technology for 500+ users.
Lead Year2000 program for a major mutual funds company from program inception to completion of production testing. Scope included entire technology portfolio, cooperative testing with business partners, regulatory reporting and contingency planning.
Lead evaluation of alternate platforms for critical transaction processing system, directed benchmark testing and recommending enhancements to storage strategies, advised on platform migration process for conversion to the successful vendor platform.
Advised development and testing of recovery processes for the core application services of a mutual fund trading and settlement network. Advise on contingency plan development for business interruptions and year2000 events.
Audit computer operations and support areas for a mutual funds company. Provide follow-up consulting to introduce improved controls, processes, and mentor operations and support management.
Assist a mutual funds company with technical planning and implementation of an in-place data centre refurbishment (live operations) and partial relocation of business functions to a new site.
Technical architecture design and implementation of multi-vendor wide area data replication strategy for critical business function recovery.
